Tim Smith is the President of the Coolray companies.
Tim brings 15+ years of Sales and Operational management experience to the Coolray team, most recently in the home services field. His philosophy of Continuous Improvement has been vital to driving and sustaining market leadership position in his fields of business. Tim is committed to solidifying Coolray’s position as the premier HVAC company in the metro Atlanta market.
He holds a Business Management Degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. An avid, and former competitive golfer, Tim and his wife can typically be found on the golf course or attending Atlanta sporting events in their free time.
Heather Speich is the Vice President & Controller for Coolray Companies.
Heather joined the Coolray family as Controller in June of 2016. She oversees all financial functions for the company and is responsible for financial statements, cash management, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Prior to joining Coolray, Heather’s background included 15 years in real estate and homebuilding, specifically in the accounting and finance fields.
Heather holds a BBA and Masters of Accountancy degree from the University of Georgia and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She currently lives in the Canton area with her husband and son. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Alex Bedoya is the Vice President of Plumbing and Underground for Mr. Plumber and the Coolray Companies.
Alex joined the Coolray family as the Vice President of Plumbing Services in March of 2015. Alex not only brings nearly 25 years of progressive operations management experience and expertise to the Mr. Plumber brand, he also brings integrity and business ethics which will heighten Mr. Plumber’s solid credibility. Alex joins us after spending 15 years improving operational performance and enhancing the customer experience in various operational roles for a Fortune 500 company and a global leader in the logistics industry. Alex is truly committed to developing and embracing a customer-centric philosophy in order to enhance the Mr. Plumber culture of putting the customer’s needs at the center of what we do while striving for operational excellence.
Alex also serves as Dean of Students for the Coolray Academy, our in-house training center for the next generation of trades men and women.
Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from St. John’s University in New York. He now resides in Acworth with his wife and 2 children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books, watching movies, basketball, football and coaching his children’s youth teams as well as spending quality time with his wife and children.
As VP of Coolray's Residential Replacement Division, Ken is fully committed to excellence and 100% customer satisfaction. He has assembled a team of Installers who are hard working, well-trained, customer friendly, and committed to providing the highest quality installations.
Ken has worked in nearly all phases of the heating & air industry since 1977. He began his career as an apprentice during summer break in high school. His background ranges from residential to industrial; his previous positions and responsibilities include Service & Installation Technician, Sales & Design Engineer, Retail Manager, Construction Manager, and Vice President of a family-owned heating & air company.
Awards, Education & Certifications:
On a personal note, Ken has been happily married to his high school sweetheart since 1986 and they now have 3 great teenagers. Ken has volunteered as a leader and counselor in high school youth ministry since 1983. Ken enjoys restoring antique cars, sports, mountain climbing, whitewater rafting, and spending time with his family.
David Rutherford is the Vice President of the Coolray East Division for the Coolray Companies.
As a 32 year veteran of the HVAC industry, when David is not out catching fish, he’s helping make the world a more comfortable place to be. David and his brother founded their own Heating and Cooling company which was later acquired by Coolray. David is Atlanta born and Atlanta raised. David has been married to his wife for 28 years and they have three children -- twin daughters and a son.
David has seen it all when it comes to HVAC and holds an unrestricted HVAC license.
Charles Cantrell is the Vice President of BriteBox Electrical for the Coolray Companies. Charles has over 30 years of experience as an Electrician. He has worked all over the United States and holds a license in 6 states. Before coming to work for BriteBox he was an Electrical Inspector for one of Atlanta’s biggest counties in the metro for 5 years.
Charles is a native Cobb Countian and resides in Cobb County still to this day.
Scott Archibald is the Plumbing Director of Mr. Plumber for the Coolray Companies.
Scott brings nearly 30 years of experience including 10+ as Service Manager, 2 as Plumbing Sales Representative and 15 in the field as a plumber. He continued the growth of Mr. Plumber since joining the company in 2019.
Archibald is a native of Woodstock and currently resides in Calhoun with his two children.
Adam Johnson is the Director of Marketing for the Coolray Companies. In this role, Mr. Johnson oversees all marketing efforts including creative advertising, research and creative content.
After 3 years as Marketing Manager for Coolray, Adam was named Director of Marketing in July 2023. Adam has spearheaded marketing for the Coolray, Mr. Plumber and BriteBox Electrical brands while serving as a marketing partner to Atlanta's media, publication and sports organizations. Adam is an experienced marketer. He’s worked in a variety of indutries including sports, broadcasting and home services; overseeing Marketing, Communications and Event Planning Departments.
Before joining Coolray Companies in 2020, Adam worked as the Digital Content Manager for NASCAR's Phoenix Raceway during their $178 million track renovation. It was here that he earned the Front Office Sports Rising 25 Award in 2019. Prior to his time in NASCAR, Adam served as the lead broadcaster for serveral of Grand Canyon University's team sports. Adam earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management with an emphasis in Communications from Grand Canyon University.
Adam was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and currently resides in Georgia with his wife Aubree and son.
Bryan is the Manager of Coolray's South Division, overseeing their Service and Install departments.
Bryan is dedicated to delighting our customers with friendly, attentive customer service and strives to achieve 100% customer satisfaction. He brings a decade of industry experience, having served Coolray previously as a NATE Certified Installation & Service Technician as well as an HVAC Comfort Consultant. Bryan also established a new outbound call team whose main focus is ensuring our customers’ expectations are exceeded on every home visit.
Bryan obtained his B.S. in Marketing from The Florida State University and is an avid Seminole sports fan. He also has a passion for music and performs throughout the southeast with his band. In his spare time Bryan enjoys traveling, hiking, attending Atlanta sporting events.
As the VP of Operations/Project Manager, Sophia is dedicated to supporting our operations divisions and facilities. Sophia has been a part of the Coolray team since 2003, and has held leadership positions in our accounting department and call center. With over 15 years of experience with Coolray, she is fully dedicated to our core values and brings leadership and teamwork to her position.
Sophia and her husband have two sons. She enjoys jewelry crafts, concerts, the Atlanta Falcons and spending time with family.
As Vice President of the West Division for Coolray, Kimball is focused on maintaining 100% Customer Satisfaction and leading the best service department in Georgia. He brings a wide breadth of knowledge and experience with residential, light commercial service and installation from over 16 years working within the industry. He studied HVAC at Chattahoochee Tech; and prior to joining the team in 2009, Kimball worked with several respected HVAC companies in Atlanta. Kimball’s diverse background and service disposition will make him a great asset to the leadership team at Coolray and Mr Plumber.
In his spare time, Kimball enjoys spending time with his family and hiking the great outdoors.
Jami Giddings is the Dispatch Manager for the Coolray Companies. Mrs. Giddings oversees the dispatch department for all service divisions of Coolray Companines including Coolray, Mr. Plumber and BriteBox Electrical.
Prior to joining Coolray Companies in 2010, Jami was a member of the United States Marine Corp. where she served as a Geographic Intelligence Specialist. Her experience in the industry includes 3 years as a dispatcher and has held her current role as a Dispatch Manager since 2010.
Giddings studied Business at the University of Georgia and Law Enforcement at ITT. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, she now resides in Woodstock and has raised two adult children.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Tonja oversees the development and delivery of all Human Resource strategies, services and programs for the Coolray family of companies.
Tonja is a seasoned HR professional who leverages her 20+ year proven track record to align the Human Resource function with Coolray’s organizational values and goals. Tonja is focused on providing value added services to the workforce and the organization’s bottom line. She recognizes that a company’s number one asset is their employees, and her goal is to make employees feel valued by being consistent, responsive and treating employees with respect and dignity while always challenging them to perform at their highest level.
Prior to joining Coolray Heating and Cooling, LLC, Tonja has held various human resources positions; VP of Associate Services with Lane Management, LLC, Corporate Human Resources Director with Atlantis Plastics, Inc., Benefits and Compensation Analyst with John Wieland Homes and Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager with Checkmate Electronics.
Tonja was also an adjunct professor at DeVry University where she instructed various classes in the Human Resources undergrad curricula; including Employment Law, Benefits and Compensation, Strategic Staffing, Web Based HRIS Systems, and HR Planning.
Tonja possesses the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Branell Institute, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Reinhardt College, and a Masters of Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.
As a person who is dedicated to professional growth, Tonja is certified in the behavioral assessment tool, Predictive Index, and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management [SHRM].
